I have been noticing, with all the problems this nation faces; all the challenges, the wars and the falling American Dollar, that these cable channels that have become SO popular with the American Public - namely MSNBC, CNN and to a large extent FOX News, DO NOT COVER the candidates policies and speeches IN FULL, so that We as Americans, have the opportunity to chose the candidate we feel best can answer the Nations' problems, best protect us, mirror our moral compass and make a sound decision based on those words.

Instead, they choose to show snippets of speeches, often out of context, wrap a story around it, and then talk endlessly about their OWN opinions (or those of their corporations) for HOURS.

They are doing an ENORMOUS dis-service to the American public.

This is Iraq War REDUX.

People DO NOT want to hear Wolf, Chris, Tim, Donna, James or anyone else 24/7.

They want to hear THE CANDIDATES. We have had almost 3 months of wall-to-wall coverage and people are still undecided? Why?
Because we DO NOT hear THE CANDIDATES! We hear scandal, spin, innuendo, gossip, made-up dust-ups and garbage. A good bit of it refutable IF YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Hillary Clinton gave a National Security speech at George Washington University to a large cadre of Military personnel. They cut away AT THE START OF THAT SPEECH, and what was covered LIVE on ALL THREE CABLE NETWORKS FOR TWO HOURS? Some stupid cop somewhere who killed his pregnant girlfriend and their unborn child. WTF? Give me a break!

Will HIS decisions have direct consequences for 300 million people? No.

I am sure Senator Obama has had speeches of import as well, that would help MORE American's decide if his words and plans are the ones in which more people find a fit. But how in the hell do I know? I just see what the Big Media WANTS me to see.

If I want to listen to a candidate's speech FIVE TIMES, I should be able to. I am sorry if it bores Mika.

It is a POLITICAL CENSORSHIP of the most egregious nature what the Television Press, in particular, is doing to the American people, and to the institution of Journalism.

I feel for those young men and women, working  their tails off today to enhance their writing and investigative skills just to be told 5-10-15 years out that they will have to become a CORPORATE HACK if they want to make it in television.

I am speaking only of the "Evening Shows," MANY of which USED to cover world events and daily news. Despite the good works of many television journalists who go into other countries, report on wars, or politics and risk their lives, we are now deprived of their hard work to keep us informed of the world inside and outside our shores, so Noonan, Mitchell, Russert, O'Riley and who ever else's head is about to explode with self-aggrandizement can offer their two-cents on everything from Obama's booming voice to Clinton's alleged fat ankles. I know go to NETWORK TELEVISION and PBS to get NEWS. And even to get some balance in the information. I am not talking about a preference the media may or may not show over one candidate or another, but to get INFORMATION AT ALL about an opposing point of view, and to see what ELSE is happening to our country, and yes, OUR WORLD.

And the melding of on-air personalities is insane. Juan Williams on everything. Pat Buchanan everywhere. Jonathan Alter spewing his nasty opinion from the pages of the major papers to the airwaves of multiple media outlets.

The American people are ALLOWING the Corporate Media to WRITE THE AGENDA. Just as they did in the run-up to the War, and just like they have acted when that War went south. Pointing fingers all around saying, "The `Media' should have done its job!" As if THEY THEMSELVES were a part of some OTHER group than "THE MEDIA."

And if we have nominated, or elected, ANY person unfit for the Presidency, unable to do the job, not vetted, not having had the spotlight of the Press shining in all their PUBLIC policies and positions, FROM ANY PARTY, then the American public will again get, exactly what YOU deserve.

I am fighting like hell to stop this FAKE journalism on television. I hope you will join me.

JUST GIVE US THE STORY. We ARE smart enough to DECIDE FOR OURSELVES what we want for our Nation.
